Unmasking the Next Generation's Hall of Fame
Players with the most All-Pro Selections
The annual AP All-Pro Team is the most prestigious annual award given to the best players at each position. The AP honors a first and second team at each position, including special teams spots. Because of the exclusivity of this award, earning a spot on the list puts a player in the top 6% of their peers each year.
Being named an All-Pro is not a requirement for induction, but it is a factor that is considered by the Selection Committee. Many players who are inducted into the Hall of Fame were multiple-time All-Pros during their careers. In this way, being named an All-Pro serves as a "resume builder" for a player, demonstrating his on-field excellence and helping to solidify his case for eventual induction into the Hall of Fame.
The names in gold below are already enshrined in Canton, so you can see how active and Hall-eligible players stack up against them.
