1 comments so far (post your own)He played really hard and was a big reason for the raiders success in the 1970's. He was dominant in the 1980's. He made it too four straight pro bowls from 73-76. played well in the Raiders Super Bowl victory in January of 1977. What I do not understand is why are there individuals in the pro football hall of fame that were only in two pro bowls. Phil is a bit Gregarious and at times a bit annoying but that should not prevent him from getting into the pro football hall of fame. He played with an edge. All defensive players who, particularly linebackers, who played in the 60's and 70's played with a nasty edge. You had to or you would not survive. It was a different time.
