Thanks Derek I appreciate your comments. How could someone launch a campaign for nomination into the Hall of Fame?

Hello Jim Barwegen, you must be the grandson of Dick Barwegen himself! I believe that the Pro Football Hall of Fame selection committee should be able to hear Dick's case for induction as a senior finalist. I'm very surprised that John Turney of Talk of Fame Two has not yet done a deep-dive article on Barwegen's career and his brief yet immense impact on his teams. Unfortunately, it appears that anyone who did not play for the Cleveland Browns during their tenure in the AAFC is unworthy of brief mention, let alone enshrinement into Canton. Barwegen played his rookie year at the right guard position before being switched to left guard, where he immediately excelled. 4 consecutive 1st team All-Pro selections and the aforementioned spot on the Hall of Fame's 1950s All-Decade Team cements his legacy as one of the premier offensive linemen of his era, with his blocking skills considered second to none by his contemporaries. One of the most underrated and overlooked players in NFL history who deserves his place among the busts of football immortality!

Dick point total should be adjusted to reflect the following. He was 1st team All-Pro for 4 yrs 48-51.2nd team all-pro in 47. He also was voted to the NFL All 50s decade team.
