I worked side by side with Mr. McNeil for 6 years, and he was the most confident, peaceful, man with God's wisdom I've ever known. He is a true gift .A talented man on the gridiron, but more a treasure box of history from whom I learned so much. ALWAYS upbeat, always had a story to share, but the one that I've always remembered was the classic ideology that while participating at 100% in the heat, one did so knowing liquid refreshments of any sort were not to be found since the thought was "Water makes you weak" . This humble man is as tough as they get. I do so very much hope he can be recognized in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as one that lived through the toughest of times for a man of his upbringing forming a man of such meek and humbleness and willingly gives back to a society that long ago thought little of him. He has ALL of my r3spect and feel BLESSED to have been able to know him.
